Who’s eligible? For-profit organizations, including small businesses
What does it fund? The Conservation Innovation Grants program supports pilot projects, field demonstrations, and on-farm conservation research to develop innovative conservation strategies and technologies in agricultural production. It focuses on climate-smart agriculture activities, assisting producers and nonindustrial private forestland owners in enhancing soil carbon, reducing nitrogen losses, and mitigating greenhouse gas emissions. What does it fund? Rural Energy for America Program Renewable Energy Systems & Energy Efficiency Improvement Grants

How much? $1.5K-$1M
Who funds it? Rural Development, U.S. Department of Agriculture
Who’s eligible? Private for-profit entities, including Sole Proprietorships, Partnerships, and Corporations
What does it fund? The Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) grants fund up to 50% of total eligible project costs for purchasing and installing renewable energy systems (such as solar, wind, biomass, and geothermal) and making energy efficiency improvements (such as upgrading HVAC systems, insulation, and lighting). We’ve heard their requirements are still shifting from one funding round to the next, and compliance can be onerous.

Who funds it? Vinyl Institute
Who’s eligible? For-profit, privaitely owned and operated materials recovery facilities, recyclers, or construction and demolition waste management facilities.
What does it fund? The Vinyl Institute’s recycling grant program supports various initiatives to improve the recycling of post-consumer vinyl products. Eligible uses include purchasing equipment, investing in educational programs, improving logistical systems, and conducting research on vinyl recycling technology. The program also supports research and development on vinyl recycling technology.

Who’s eligible? For-profit organizations, including small businesses
What does it fund? The initiative funds cooperative agreements to improve technical capacities for Farm Bill Conservation Programs, including climate-smart agriculture and forestry practices.
