Nigeria Climate-Smart Agriculture Investment Plan

Having already played a crucial role in the development of the Climate-Smart Agriculture Investment Plans for Cote d’Ivoire, Mali, Ghana, Burkina Faso, and Jordan, the Written Progress team was an obvious choice for conducting similar work in Nigeria.

The Alliance of Bioversity and CIAT and the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics invited Written Progress to join the research team conducting the inaugural sub-national Climate-Smart Agriculture Investment Plans under the auspices of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.

Katiana Bougouma led the Written Progress team in conducting exhaustive expository research, supporting workshops and interviews, and interpreting modeling results to create high-impact strategic investment recommendations. The team then developed monitoring and evaluation plans across all sub-national regions. In-depth copyediting and dynamic citations of the entire suite of reports will complete these critical investment plans in early 2022.

It has been a particular honor for Written Progress to join and support a team of primary researchers and authors composed entirely of African women.
